Copenhagen is the most beautiful Scandinavian city I have ever seen. If you are looking for a quiet, picturesque city with lovely people, look no further. I happened to see this beautiful city through the eyes of one near and dear to me and I know I saw many beautiful things on what can only be characterized as my whirlwind birthday weekend trip. It included a stop at Nyhavn with the beautiful multicoloured townhouses and the massive sea boats in the harbor. I had a chance to stop and see the Little Mermaid, all the Hans Christian Andersen fairytales from my childhood came to mind. I thought the statue was so lovely but was horrified to learn that over the years it had been defaced, I guess we all view things from a very different angle based on our experiences. My tour wouldn’t have been complete without stopping at Maersk headquarters, this was my dream company for so long and just seeing it meant the world to me. So funny how time and circumstances can change any dream. Beautiful Copenhagen, I can’t wait to see more of you!
